Mission Description

Based in Garching/Munich, you will play a key role in the further development of our revolutionary ignition system, which is a key enabler for the next generation of in-space propulsion systems. Your responsibilities will include conducting hotfire test campaigns, managing technical projects, and documenting your findings through detailed reports and presentations. We are looking for a hands-on generalist with a strong passion for technology and problem-solving.

Your Qualifications
  • Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (Dip./M.Sc./Ph.D.)
  • 2–3 years of professional experience in ignition system developement
  • Experienced in mechanical design and construction
  • Proficient in CAD software
  • Programming skills in MATLAB/Simulink
  • Capable of independently setting up, supporting, and conducting tests
  • Self-motivated and proactive with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German or other languages is an advantage

Mission Description

Based in Garching/Munich, you will work on the next-gen chemical propulsion system together with a team of engineers. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing computational models to simulate and optimize the system architecture of our thruster. Your work will be critical in driving the design and development of the future space transporter. We are seeking a creative and pragmatic problem-solver.

Your Qualifications
  • Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or Computational Science (Dip./M.Sc./Ph.D.)
  • 2–3 years of professional experience in a similar role (PhD time is also considered relevant work experience).
  • Strong background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, system design and modeling
  • Experience in system simulation tools (Matlab/Simulink, Simscape, EcoSimPro)
  • Proficient in CFD tools (Ansys Fluent, OpenFOAM, or similar)
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Self-motivated and proactive with excellent problem-solving abilities
