Mission Description

Based in Garching/Munich, you will play an integral role in building, modifying, and expanding our mobile rocket test stand. You will work on hotfire test campaigns, manage technical projects, and docuent your results through detailed reports and presentations. We are looking for a hands-on generalist with a passion for technology and problem-solving.

Your Qualifications
  • Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (Dip./M.Sc.)
  • Strong background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, combustion
  • Experienced in mechanical design and construction
  • Proficient in CAD software
  • Programming skills in MATLAB/Simulink
  • Capable of independently setting up, supporting, and conducting tests
  • Self-motivated and proactive with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German or other languages is an advantage

Mission Description

You will be responsible for developing and optimizing computational models to simulate and optimize the system architecture of our thruster. Your work will be critical in driving the design and development of the future space transporter. We are seeking a creative and pragmatic problem-solver.

Your Qualifications
  • Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or Computational Science (Dip./M.Sc./Ph.D.)
  • Strong background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, system design and modeling
  • Experience in system simulation tools (Matlab/Simulink, Simscape, EcoSimPro)
  • Proficient in CFD tools (Ansys Fluent, OpenFOAM, or similar)
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Self-motivated and proactive with excellent problem-solving abilities

Mission Description

We are looking for a motivated intern (mandatory internship as part of a university degree program) to support our engineering team. This internship focuses on developing skills in simulation, CAD, assembly, test preparation, and execution. You will gain hands-on experience in space propulsion technology while acquiring new knowledge and competencies required by your study program.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • CAD Design & Simulation: Assist in designing components for chemical rocket engines and experimental setups using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks). Support in running simulations and analyzing technical designs.
  • Testing & Prototyping: Assist in preparing and conducting tests for aerospace components. Gain practical experience in assembling prototypes and engineering models. Ensure proper documentation of designs, tests, and findings.

  • Who You Are: Enrolled in a university program in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Interest in CAD design, simulation, and aerospace engineering. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a structured, self-motivated approach. Team-oriented mindset and good communication skills.
